littlenorth, i found out from our journal administration that the software we current use was custom-designed by an outside contractor. at the time the school couldn’t find anything on the market designed specifically for law journals, so it hired someone to create an in-house system to manage both the write-on competition and articles submission.

but they did tell me that ExpressO now offers a product that’s similar to the one we use. it’s called LawKit (see http://law.bepress.com/lawkit.html). i took a brief look at it and think it has even more features than our system. according to its website, NYU, UCLA, and NU are already on-board, and BC and Temple law reviews gave it high praises. maybe you guys can look into it as well.

    good luck.

Thanks. We’ve looked at expresso too. It requires us to either accept submissions only through their system, or pay them a very high annual fee if we also want to accept submissions through other means. We would rather stick with what we have than choose either of those options… But thanks anyway.

hi jenny, if you are still in high school then it’s way too early to think about law school. if you have trouble deciding what to study in college, then major in Mathematics and Philosophy (see here: http://wpwy.org/blog/?p=746).
