    hmmm, good question. 🙂
BTW, I have a question for you, littlenorth. I remember that you did clerkship for your 1L year. I was offered an opportunity of a clerkship in my first summer. Do I need to dress up everyday? I wear jean & T-shirt and have never been in my own suit before. 🙂 This is the question I am wondering besides my finals.

xiaocu, yes, for my 1L judicial internship i did have to dress up everyday, except for Fridays, which were “casual Fridays.” But even on Fridays I wore the same kind of shirts, just open collars, with no tie, because that was what the clerks did, and I sometimes wandered into other courtrooms to observe trials so it’s a good idea to look somewhat formal. The dress code in the chambers was made very clear to me before I even started. I guess it really depends on the judge and his policy. (Speaking of which, the only real exception that I recall was on my last day — the judge took everyone out to a seafood restaurant on the bay and required everyone to show up in Hawaiian (!) shirts, and we happily complied.)

and congrats on the internship offer (clerkship usually refers to the fulltime, post-graduation position). i am sure it’s going to be an eye-opening experience. and i won’t tell anyone that you got it before NALP’s 12/1 moratorium. 😉
